Having
completed five novels, the Lincolns now turn to a new medium, one that
should have special relevance to their readers. When two
octogenarians have lived fifty years in the same house, much of the time
with six lively children, they have acquired many memories. Hopefully readers of this memoir will be prompted to recall similar incidents in their lives, moments that over the years have come to mean much to them. In retrospect for all of us, these memories may well be our golden years.
